Xbox Live (“XBL“) has officially launched last Thursday. I have been a beta-tester for about 2 months, and it is great to finally see its official launch. The local gaming community seems to welcome XBL, as there are rumours that the sale of the Xbox console and the subscription to various broadband network service boosted up big time in the past few days.
I spent my whole Labour Day long weekend to immerse myself into XBL. The gaming experience is far better than the beta period as many Hong Kong players joined the network. Better still, I’ve got Gary, an old friend back in high school, to join me. Together with other college friends and colleagues, we have got a team of players to start a game of any genre and title at any given time.
Up till now, the game we play the most is Project Gotham Racing 2. Gary seems to be, or he claims to be, a popular host of the game.
In the cyber-age, one has to get re-union with his friends through the internet.
Update (04.05.2004): I have started a new blog hosted by Blogger.com for myfriends and I to post news and other information about Xbox.
