I hate Microsoft Outlook, I never use it. Without using Outlook, I do not have a software in my PC to synchronise with my PDA and mobile phone (all PDAs and phones which is able to sync. can only do it with Outlook). It is painful to input all the contact details of friends every time I purchased a new mobile phone, but I still refuse to work with the devil.
When I was still a Palm user, Palm Desktop is my natural choice of PIM. But after I switched to Zaurus, I lack a suitable replacement. I tried KDE-PIM but it is not quite satisfactory (I think it’s the layout).
Dom in his article mentioned the calendar software Sunbird being developed by the Mozilla Foundation. According to its roadmap, Sunbird will support synchronisation with Palm and even Nokia and Sony Ericsson mobile phones.
Have you tried Evolution?

Unfortunately, I am still a M$ windoze user
How’s Sunbird? Do you like it?
It is still too early (it is only version 0.2b) to comment. It is good looking than KDE-Pim, and even Palm Desktop, but the function I want most (synchronization) will not appear until verions 2.0.
