Since 2001, some bloggers pick a day in July / August and blog at half-hour intervals continuously for 24 hours for charity. Blogathon 2005 will commence on this Saturday, 6 August, at 9 p.m. (Hong Kong time). Any blogger can participate, or, if one is not confident to have the stamina to finish the event (like myself), can sponsor. The donation will be made by the sponsors direclty to the charitable organisation through a weblink.
Many participants think of something special to blog, like blogging while wardriving, or writing a Harry Potter fan-fiction. It will be fun to watch.

Google often makes things better. Another example is Google Maps. You can find any location in the U.S. by supplying its address to the search engine, and you got it on the map. MapQuest and Yahoo! Maps have been providing the same service for a long time, but Google Maps just looks better and is easier to use.
