2004 年 11 月 9 日是微軟的大日子，因為兩個重要軟件都在今日推出。

首先是微軟開始在瀏覽器市場的最大對手 — Firefox — 的正式版 1.0。很多網友已經談過 Firefox 比 IE 優勝的地方，在此不贅述了。希望 Firefox 正式版的推出能令 Take Back The Web 這雪球越滾越大。我自己亦略盡綿力：每次有朋友叫我幫他處理電腦上網問題，我就會幫他安裝 Firefox，踢他入會。

另一個重要軟件是 Xbox 遊戲平台的射擊遊戲 Halo 2。這系列的首作是 Xbox 平台上首個銷量超過一百萬的大作，今集加入了網上連線的功能，肯定賣個滿堂紅，連帶 Xbox 主機的銷量都會在感恩節、聖誕節攀升。

又係唔講唔知，Google 原來剛剛 6 歲生日。

I am sick of Orkut. It was great at the beginning, but lately, it becomes irritating as it gets slower and slower and I get tens of spam messages every day.

Just when I am fed up with SNS (although Orkut was the only one I have tried), Sun L introduced me to Multiply. Besides the usual SNS stuff, Multiply also provides you with 1GB of webspace which can used to display photos and write all sorts of things, including journal / blog, reviews (books, movies, restaurants, games, etc.), recipes and even stuff you wish to sell.

I have not tested all the features yet, so I have no useful comment at the moment, but the interface is quite user-friendly. According to Sun L, Multiply seems to support Chinese characters. The remaining question would be … Will it become sluggish in a few months, just like Orkut did?
