坐在大角咀的奧海城百老匯看《菠蘿油王子》裏的大角咀，別有意義。這次完全脫離了電視的內容，無論語言、笑話 ( 校本管理、兩文三語、做官要識裝死) 、昔日片段、城市變遷，如果不是土生土長和懂得廣東話的話，相信很難看得懂。 配音方面，黃秋生已經是一看再看這電影的理由。麥太帶麥兜看醫生那一幕，真的笑得我人仰馬翻。
