Everybody has had the same experience. I am not saying that you found yourself lost in a foreign place, but losing directions in your life.
Bob Harris (Bill Murray) was a famous action star doing TV and photo commercials for Santory whiskey in Tokyo. Charlotte (Scarlett Johansson) is a fresh-grad from Yale who is currently unemployed. She accompanied her photographer husband (Giovanni Ribisi who appeared in Friends as Phoebe’s brother Frank Jr.) who is shooting a band. The story is around these 2 persons, both jet-lagged, both of their other halves are not available (Bob’s is busy with children and home decoration, whilst Charlotte’s is working on the band).
Nothing very dramatic. A very comfortable film.
By the way, I am wondering: What did Bob whisper in Charlotte’s ear at the end of the film?
