Alfred Hitchcock Presents

最近在「煲」的 DVD 是希治閣的電視節目 Alfred Hitchcock Presents -- Season One。這節目是單元劇，每集一個故事，在故事播放前後，希治閣也會展示他一貫的英式幽默。

第一輯攝於 1955/56 年 ( 當然是黑白片 ) ，共 39 集，故事的主題 / 寓意都是「天網恢恢」之類的道理。以今日的標準來看，雖然不會去到「出人意表」的地步 ( 畢竟我們已看過太多驚慄片 )，但希治閣掌握觀眾情緒的能力，依然不枉緊張大師的金漆招牌。

第一輯的編劇陣容亦相當鼎盛，包括 Martian Chronicles 的作者 Ray Bradbury 和 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 的 Ronald Dahl。

其中一集 Back for Christmas 是我較喜歡的。故事講述一名意圖弒妻的男人，怎樣實行計畫。雖然大家知道他法網難逃，但究竟如何被揭發？緊張的氣氛就這樣凝聚起來。

記憶中明珠台當年也播過這節目，播的當然是後期的彩色版本。明珠台應該考慮一下重播 ...

Taking Lives

A female Fox Mulder (played by Angelina Jolie) tried to track down a serial killer, who killed to take the identities and live the lives of his victims. I am quite exposed to this genre and this movie lacks a bit of surprise element for me (except the "unrated director's cut" part ).

Kiefer Sutherland always add something to the story, like Phone Booth. Angelina has been a detective before, she made the roles quite convincing.

The Village

A typical Shyamalan's movie, The Village has a big twist near the end of the story, but the problem is that the audience need to stay awake until that moment. It is also a story about love and relationship. Evil exists everywhere. It is unavoidable, even though you have taken every precautions.

Bryce Dallas Howard did a great job (amongst famous actors/actresses like William Hurt and Sigourney Weaver) playing the blind but loving girl Ivy Walker. Either Shyamalan or his casting director Douglas Aibel has great eyes looking for talent, first Haley Joel Osment, now Bryce.

救命

林嘉欣和李心潔都演得很精彩，林嘉欣尤其出色，對許志安的愛恨交纏，失去所有之後的不顧一切。綠葉方面可說陣容鼎盛：廖啟智、黃浩然、文頌嫻，文頌嫻的演出令我耳目一新。

劇本方面中規中矩，而且結局太神奇 ( 我指林嘉欣的技術可與怪醫秦博士看齊 )。

"Fate or Coincidence?" Anja (Annett Renneberg) wanted to jump off the bridge when Henry pulled over his car and picked her up. Since then, they played a game of truth and lies, reality and fiction.

Wonderful script. As the movie approaches, you will wonder who is telling the truth, or any one of them does not know he/she was lying. It is also very intriguing to see how the 2 characters try to overwhelm each other.

According to the director/scriptwriter Igor Zaritzki who attended the HKIFF, Devot was completed in 3 years and has been shown in 20 different film festivals. It does deserve the attention.
