在 del.icio.us 發現了舊浪新潮這個類似群體 blog 的網站，內容由政治、經濟、書評、影評到日常生活無一不談，可讀性甚高。

Recommended by Helen. Sid has been sentenced to jail for 9 years and is now in Wormwood Scrubs, London. ClearlyCalm is Sid’s account of his life behind bars. Nothing dramatic as Shawshank Redemption, but it is real.

An issue mentioned by Sid is worth discussing: What is the rationale to give longer sentence for “white collar” crimes like fraud than that for crimes of violent nature? I have not done any research on the topic, but I think heavier sentence will give a more effective deterrence effect to the general public, to discourage them from doing such crimes.

I hope Sid can continue blogging about his experience.
